Yuri Zhirkov and Nicolas Anelka scored when the Blues journeyed to Moscow last month. Spartak were caught ball watching, and gave their visitors too much room in midfield.
Chelsea has already defeated MSK Žilina and Olympique de Marseille. Spartak defeated Marseille and Zilina, and will be hoping for a draw to maintain second place in the group.
